The Topshop All Mine Boots were my very first pair of Clara shoes and I got them relatively early in summer 2016. They complete a lot of Clara outfits, so it’s natural to go for them as a new cosplayer.
The shoes pop up quite often compared to other Clara shoes and unless every pair sold since the last time I checked, you will find several listings on Depop alone (but they also appear on Vinted and eBay). I’m assuming the shoes had a relatively high retail price because I’ve seen them listed for as high as £65 by someone who is not a Clara cosplayer. However, you will most likely find them cheaper. When I bought my pair, I message several people who sold them around £20 until I found someone who was willing to ship to Germany.
As for the sizing, the shoes run a tad small. Like I’ve mentioned in previous posts, my regular shoe size is a UK4.5 and mine are a UK6. I put in some soft inlays and now they fit me fine.
And soft inlays is something you will most definitely need with these shoes. They are murder. They are by far the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn and I can’t even tell you why that is, but as soon as I wear them for longer than 10 minutes, my toes start tingling as if the blood flow is completely cut off. I’ve never worn them for longer than 30 minutes. I don’t know why because they’re not tight and my toes have all the room they need in a size that is bigger than what I actually need. Maybe it has something to do with the angle of the heel, but these are definitely not convention shoes. I bow to every Clara who can wear them at a convention and I bow to Jenna for making it through filming in these monsters.
Most Clara cosplayers have confirmed that they find them uncomfortable even though there are some exceptions (do you guys hate your feet? :D). That is something you should take into consideration before you buy these because there’s the possibility you won’t wear them much outside of cosplay. It’s actually a bit of a shame they’re so uncomfortable because the look of these is so nice and goes with practically everything. I especially love the gold trim which gives them a bit of a special look.
When I reviewed them on my Instagram account a while ago, two alts were mentioned by other cosplayers that are worth checking out and both are said to be a lot more comfortable than the original thing. One was sold by a brand called Dolcis and the other by Deichmann.
